click over to the shop to see details. these are one off kits! so get them when you see them because there won’t be another like it.  i’ll be posting the ptarmigan and loon kits over the next few days too… so if none of these are quite you, there will be other color combos for the other patterns.

a change in life

as you all know, if you’ve been following me a while, my business appears to change at least a bit each year.  sometimes a lot.  there was the time i gave up my art hat knitting for yarn dyeing and designing.  there was the short time i had a little studio.  there was the time i gave up craft fairs to do fiber shows…
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
so many changes! and now, with baby number two pending, i’m thinking of another change. it will just be temporary, but i’m thinking of dyeing and making kits for some of my patterns. it seems more manageable than keeping lots of yarn in stock at all times and then maybe i can even market the kits to yarn stores?  anyhow, it would be great if you could take the following poll and help me decide what to focus on!  you can pick more than one and please list in the other space or comment on this post with any particular patterns you’d like to see in kit form.

here are the patterns, if you need to be refreshed.

and to sweeten the deal, i’ll draw 3 names on the 6th of February in the morning and give each person one free pattern of their choice… please leave a comment in the comment section if you’d like to be in the drawing. thanks for the help!
line of knits

update!

going up in the shop today!

update!

two baby belle kits, one reflection hat kit, two subtle stripes spinning kits, two hand dyed tops, and two (new to you!) skeins of bulky that come with either the super hero helmet hat or the pixie hood pattern.

by and by, if you already have a pattern and buy a kit, i can either refund you $3 of the kit price, or you can choose another pattern.  and just because i’m visual, here are the knits that now have kits:

kits!

baby belle kits

here’s the sample i knit.

green belle

the kits come with:
the pattern
146 yds of main color
86 yds of accent color
10 yds of button band wool
which can be a mixture of handspun, my hand dyed lamb’s pride or regular lamb’s pride (85% wool/15% mohair), and my hand dyed lanaloft or regular lanaloft.

this green belle has lamb’s pride as the main color, my handspun as the accent color.  as you can see, i do like some non-traditional baby colors.  brights!  darks!  whatever suits the fancy.  the kits will vary dramatically.

green belle

now i’m thinking i should finish the pattern for the boy belle – started at the same time and similar in shape, but a bit more unisex.
