on a snow day
i’m working on all of the winter birds collection. then i’m going to move on to the august vest.
and i’ll take requests as to what you’d like to see sooner rather than later, since i won’t get everything done before the baby comes. anything you’d like? i was thinking some reflection hat and mitten kits… and fogt baby wraps!
Heron Hat
A charted colorwork hat in sport weight yarn with a wintery diamond and tree theme.
Yarn: Cosymakes Rainbow Chard Light or Snapdragon Sport, 120(130, 140, 150) yds [109.7(118.9, 128, 137.2) m] and 50(55, 60, 65) yds [45.7(50.3, 54.9, 59.4) m] of a contrasting color
Needles: size 4 US [3.5 mm] 16 in. [40.6 cm] circular and double-pointed needles of the same size, or whatever size needles you need to get gauge
Gauge: 6.5 sts and 7.5 rows per inch [2.5 cm], after blocking
Sizes: Circumference 18.5(19.5, 21, 22) in. [48(49.5, 53, 55.9) cm] choose a hat size 1-2 in. [2.5-5 cm] smaller than your head

Saturday January 12th, 2-4, $25
Join me in learning the ins and outs of how to do stranded knitting. My knitting life changed significantly when I learned this addictive and fun knitting style. We’ll discuss how to hold the yarns, choosing colors, and some basic tips and tricks.
Either choose a pattern and bring the supplies with you, or bring some scrap yarn and needles to play with.
