This child’s colorwork hat, named for the cold place I grew up, features a turned brim, simple colorwork, and a gently pointed top.
Yarn: Worsted weight wool. 80-120 yd [73-110 m] of main color, 30-50yd [28-46 m] of contrasting color.
Needles: Size 6 US [4 mm] 16 in. [40.6 cm] circular or double pointed needles (dpns) and size 7 US [4.5 mm] 16 in. [40.6 cm] circular and a set of dpns in the same size. Or whatever size needles you need to get gauge.
Gauge: 5.25 sts/1 in.(2.5 cm)
Sizes: 16.5 (18, 21)in., 41.9 (45.7, 53.3)cm
