the yarn on this bobbin – all plied up! but not washed and fluffed yet. i’m focusing on spinning larger quantities of one colorway to list in the shop so people can make larger projects.
12 oz of thick and thin falkland – turquoise/robin’s egg, dark green/brown/blue, navy/purple/ white – all combined
and here’s the beginning of the edging on the shawl.
i tried a simpler edging, but came to the conclusion that if i had to do a contrasting edging (ran out of yarn…) it should be an extravagant one. and it looks so much better! i’ve now ripped the edging, oh, 3 times? but i’m happy, and that’s what matters.
I like the contrast between the two yarns on the pi shawl. Hopefully, you’ll have enough to finish.
very yummy green!
Oh I love that edging! Great contrast between the hearty, earthy shawl centre and that flirty extravagance. Just gorgeous.
