there has been knitting, finger knitting, loom knitting. there has been kool aid dyeing, cardboard loom weaving, a little bit of crocheting. there has been felting of beads and snakes, tie dyeing, painting on fabric and even a little bit of spinning… 30+ kids. aiya.
only two more days to go. in the meantime, the fibery stuff goes on.
finished the anatomy of a baby suprise jacket – changing color every time something major changed in the pattern. i’ll use it for teaching. just need to sew in the ends.
today, i got this hat back from interweave.
i had submitted it to knitscene, but it wasn’t accepted. drats. but that means you can look forward to me coming out with something very similar independently. i can’t stand holding onto something until it gets published. plus – it was inspired by their description of what they’re looking for, bright colors and layers. this was actually the first time i tried to get something into a magazine.
and lastly, did i ever finish the february lady sweater? nope. still percolating. so i started a new sweater. can you guess what it is? there’s a hint peaking out of the middle ;)
hope you’re having a great week!
Love the way the BSJ turned out, even if it is a teaching tool!
Is that a baby blanket? I like the colors you’re using.
And that is a great hat!! Just looking at it makes my ears feel warm and snuggly :)
cosy, i love the baby jacket/sweater. when i get pregnant, i am commissioning you. i think i can manage tiny hats but do not want to make a sweater.
I love the hat! I’d totally wear something like that.
is it a big person surprise jacket??? also love the colors on the hat.
definiotely the magazine’s loss! Love that hat, I look forward to seeing the pattern ready for purchase!
i can’t believe they didn’t accept that hat! it looks fantastic. hmm, i’m guessing your working on a tomten jacket?
I never used to be a fan of stripes in knitting, but the more I see of EZ’s patterns, the more I love them…I can’t wait to see more of it.
The hat rocks! can’t wait for you to do something with it yourself and I really like that button.
I love that hat! I am really looking forward to seeing your pattern; silly Knitscene, passing up something as cool as that!
Love the hat! Sorry it didn’t get accepted, but glad to hear that you are giving up on it.
