Today’s work
orsolya
this one has been done for a long time! i had it as a sample at my booth at Indie Knit and Spin in november. and the original done in this handspun is in australia not being worn during their summer. some day i’ll get a picture of that one too!

i truly love this easy peasy top down dress, but what really puts me over the edge? the pockets. raveled here. made from snapdragon worsted.

clown pants
so named because ben thought they were CRAZY when i first made them. they finally fit!

now ben likes them. i always thought they were happy making.

and who wouldn’t like them on such a cutie? (i may be biased). raveled here.

august vest
here’s a little vest i finished recently for a wee one. it’s size 12 month and knit out of my snapdragon sport.

my plan for the pattern is to do sizes 12 mo., 18 mo., 2, 4, and 6. look friends who requested it! larger sizes! i also have minimal changes to make, so one for m next.

raveled here.
m’s mittens
it was cold last week! really it was (although 60+! now). and with that cold, i thought m needed something a bit more hard core in the mitten category.

i used the snow day mittens pattern from my book. although it is only worsted weight wool, by working it on a size 4 needle, you get a nice thick, warm, wind proof fabric. and the verdict is… from the very cold day when we went on a walk – his hands were still warm! i think the next pair i’ll give a round top instead of pointy. also i accidentally made them a bit too long, so i guess they may fit next year? ha! the blue is snapdragon worsted. raveled here.

and these mitts have been brought to you by my mom visiting for a couple of weeks. there’s no way i would have been able to whip them out so fast otherwise. thanks mom! here are the 3 of us on a cold walk.

top down raglans
two for the babe. you’ve seen them before. i was working on a pattern, but i think i’m going to let this one go. it’s not quite what i want yet.

a 12 month size one he wore last winter.

and the orange striped one (18 mo. size) fits now! they both have handspun in them.

indeed, this fits even better right now than it did in these photos. i can’t believe how fast he’s growing… those pants no longer need to be rolled!

raveled here and here.
