A simple and charming hat reminiscent of the twinkling reflection of stars on water. I recommend using a semi-solid, handspun, or subtle hand dyed yarn for the contrasting color.

Needles: size 8 US (5 mm) 16 in. (40.6 cm) circular and a set of dpns of the same size, or whatever size needles you need to get gauge
Gauge: 4 ¾ sts/in. (2.5 cm) over colorwork pattern
Sizes: S – 21 in. (53.3 cm) head (M – 22 in. (55.9 cm) head, Large – 23 in. (58.4 cm) head)

Yay, this hat! =D
This hat might make me rethink my thoughts on color work for the better.
This pattern is amazing! You did a really great job designing it, Cosy.
Wow! That is a beautiful pattern! You could totally use handspun for the alternate color.
Oh, I love this pattern. I remember when you did that orange and brown one. My favorite!!
Really pretty! I especially love the blue one.
Love! I’ve got a weirdo amount of multicolored handspun left from a pair of mittens – it’d be perfect!!
